FAQs

How do I register for a class?

Links to the registration forms are next to the class date and time on the list of currently offered classes (on my website under “Weekly classes” or “Workshops”).  Classes held at Yoga Focus require you to print out a form from their website.  Prenatal/Postnatal yoga Inward Bound has registration forms on site, so just show up and you can fill out the form at class.  In both cases, fill out the form and bring your payment — cash or check made payable to “Marlene McGrath Yoga” — to your first class. If you don’t get to it before class, don’t worry, you can always fill out a form at class. Just come!

I’m not sure if I want to join a class.  Can I try one and then decide?

Yes!  Please come and try any class!  After class, you can decide to pay as a drop-in or sign up for a series of classes.

Can I begin a class any time during the session or do I need to wait for a new session to start?

You may come to a prenatal or postnatal class any time; you do not need to start at the beginning of a session. The general yoga classes are best started at the beginning of the session, but it is possible to come in the middle of the session.

I am not participating in a full session of classes; how much do I owe?

Please refer to the prices within each course description.  Fees are class and studio specific.  If you have any questions, please contact Marlene or speak with her at your first class to determine the appropriate fees.

When I register, how do I indicate that I am planning to pay for classes individually or am signing up for a full session?

Completion of the registration forms is the same whether you are planning to drop in or participate in a full session.  Please complete the form and then contact Marlene or speak with Marlene directly to let her know how many sessions you plan to attend / pay for.   She will accept payment and record this information.

I’ve never done yoga before.  Can I join one of your classes?

Yes!  Please come!  I offer classes for beginners as well as those with experience.

What should I bring / wear to my first class?

Please wear comfortable clothing. Yoga is practiced in bare feet.
